Restoration of the Għajn tal-Mellieħa
The Mellieħa Local Council is committed towards our heritage and has embarked on an ambitious project whereby the Għajn tal-Mellieħa has been restored and the place is now serving again its original purpose. The area, including two tunnels which were previously filled with all sorts of waste, have been cleaned up. A new lighting system has also been put in place and now the Għajn is finally a touristic attraction.
This project will be co-financed by the Environment Initiatives in Partnership Programme (EIPP) fund administered by MEPA.
