The Mellieħa Local Council together, with the Mellieħa Primary School, has organised an activity to commemorate Grand Parents' Day at the Profs Godfrey Wettinger hall at the Mellieħa Primary School. For the occasion pupils from year 3 were invited together with their grand parents. The students, with the help of their teachers, have prepared a song and dance especially for the occasion. The students have also prepared some drawings that were presented to the elderly residents at Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa. Mr Philip Chircop, President of the Grandparents Foundation Malta also addressed those present. The children and their grandparents also shared some past experiences in a very emotional moment. Ms Phylissianne Brincat performed some songs to entertain those present. The Grand Parents also had some time to chat between them while sipping some tea and coffee. Present for the occasion were the Mayor, Mr John Buttigieg and Councillor, Ms Annabelle Brincat Stellini.
